Addressing pushback from stakeholders

Today I taught a corporate workshop. We discussed how to address pushback from stakeholders who say they don't have time to provide feedback during the research planning phase or contribute to the study.

Here are some talking points about research benefits that may help in these tough situations.

User Research can help:

  • Increase your confidence and make better decisions

  • Gain empathy for your audience

  • Impact how we think about products or services

  • Shift or clarify perspectives

  • Identify unmet customer needs

  • Humanize human-centered design

  • Stay focused on the most impactful changes to your business

  • Save time and reduce rework

  • Provide different, real and actionable perspectives into the people we design for

Samantha Mabe

I strategically craft websites for the creative small business owner who is passionate about serving her clients and wants to be a part of the design process. I help her stand out as an expert, find more dream clients, increase visibility, and be in control of her website so that she can grow her business and spend more time doing what she loves.
