A look at May
The month of May has been especially rewarding. In the past two weeks, I have taught eight, private user research workshops. Four team trainings (for organizations based in Sweden, Australia, and France) and four Ask Like A Pro workshops in our current cohort.
Last week I led UXR workshops for two days in Stockholm, Sweden for a fantastic company called Epidemic Sound. They are similar to Getty stock images however offer royalty-free music for films, videos, podcasts, etc. They are an accelerator for artists and music creators who want to make a living, build an audience, and thrive through music. Check out Epidemic Sound! Their product team is fun, funny, inspiring, and truly cross-cultural. They're working on super cool stuff too!! (I’ll be sharing some UXR job openings for them soon so stay tuned.).
And my oh my, Stockholm is a gorgeous city with wonderful people and transportation, terrific food and delicious pastries, incredible design and museums, and stunning architecture! Their true eco-friendly and sustainable commitments, and overall simplicity, is beyond impressive. Everything seems to “work” in Stockholm. And it’s immaculate. I’ve traveled to 30+ countries and was delighted. How could it not be fab with 30,000 islands, blooming cherry blossom trees, touchless purchases for EVERYTHING, and an entire museum dedicated to ABBA? :)
Yep. It’s elating to be traveling again, to explore and appreciate, to reflect, getaway, and facilitate workshops in person!
Sharing my UXR knowledge, helping people upskill and collaborate in new ways, and watching them apply the knowledge in real-time is an incredible gift. Demonstrating how to “connect the dots” is one of my favorite past times!
Here are some images of these workshops and Stockholm. I hope you enjoy them and they inspire you in some way.
