What are the core differences between internal user research shareouts?

What are the core differences between internal user research shareouts (within the same organization) versus external shareouts (e.g. from an agency to a client)?

In your experience, does the tone differ? The content? The structure? Detail? Format? Something else? If so, how?

Do you think external shareouts (to clients) focus more on demonstrating the value of the research compared to internal shareouts? If so, why?

What do you think is similar between internal versus external shareouts?

What is the difference between internal versus external shareouts?

Why do you think this is the case?

I’d love to hear a range of responses/perspectives from:

  1. Researchers who present to internal stakeholders (team mates)

  2. Internal "consumers" of research (team mates)

  3. Researchers who present to external audiences (clients)

  4. External "consumers" of research (clients)

There are no right or wrong responses. I look forward to seeing/hearing the range of perspectives on this topic. TIA!!
