Upcoming panel discussion
WOOT WOOT! As the first event under our new Curiosity Tank branding, I’ll be moderating and sponsoring a panel on March 3rd with researchers who have transitioned from academia into industry.
Our panelists, Tatiana Vlahovic (also my fantastic co-host), Paul Derby & Celeste Roschuni will share stories and lessons learned from ramping up in UXR & tips on how to break into useresearch, regardless of where you are coming from.
In this post, we’re asking for topics you’d like us to address. We’re starting with four basic questions:
What did you wish you knew when you transitioned into user research (from academia)?
What was your biggest surprise during your transition?
What was the best advice or feedback you received as a UXR?
What are the best ways to connect with other user researchers and find job leads?
What else are we missing?
Please add your suggestions in the comments below.
PS. The live event will take place on Tuesday, March 3rd between 4:30-6pm PST. NOTE: You do NOT have to attend the live event to receive the recording and post-event materials. The Zoom recording, and post-event articles/resources, will be emailed to everyone who RSVPs on Eventbrite.
More details are in the Eventbrite link below in the comments.
