Are you intimidated to post on LinkedIn?

Are you intimidated to post on LinkedIn? To create posts or to comment on other people’s posts? I used to be too! Here are 14 tips and truth bombs.

  1. Be you! You have your own perspectives and experiences. Others can benefit from hearing about them

  2. Stop worrying about what other people will think

  3. You can’t go wrong if you are open, honest, and genuine

  4. Sharing something and offering to help people are usually safe bets

  5. Give don't take

  6. No one will scrutinize your posts, contributions, comments, images, etc. as much as you will

  7. Respond and engage with the people who comment and message you

  8. Do not compare yourself to others

  9. Keep a scratch pad of ideas at the ready

  10. Ask questions

  11. Be open minded

  12. Seek to understand, not to be understood

  13. Do not tag people unless you have a relationship with them, you are reposting, and or giving them credit (it's bad LI etiquette)

  14. When in doubt just remember that *nearly* everything you need to know about being successful on LinkedIn you learned in kindergarten
